Nature’s Masterpiece: Elephant Photographs of Peter Beard, features many of the artist’s iconic elephant images from his prescient book, The End of the Game (Doubleday, New York, 1977). This special Elephant Portfolio is on loan from the collection of David and Susan Rockefeller.
Beard’s gelatin silver prints highlight some his close encounters with these powerful creatures while simultaneously eulogizing their passing.
Sculpture created by Northeast Harbor artist Dan Falt will be featured alongside Beard’s photos.
A variety of interactive artistic and creative writing workshops are available for participation by children and adults.
